Please sign our petition to open the doors of our churches to accommodate the homeless men women and children of our country.

I believe one person homeless is too many. There are 6525 people ‘officially homeless’ in Ireland. This figure includes adults and children with their families, the number of families becoming homeless has increased by over 40% since last year and one in three of those in emergency accommodation is now a child. Please sign to help those who don't have a voice to find shelter.

The United nations has taken hard note of the homeless situation here and it is increasing day to day.

Nothing is being done that can alleviate this crisis and it is just wrong that this is happening here after all our austerity and bank building programmes.

We have churches idle ninety percent of the time and we would ask the Church and churches of any denomination to do the humane thing and keep the doors open and shelter these people who are freezing in these icy winter conditions. It would be a huge help to these people.

Please spend just one moment to make a difference and sign and share

Thank you !
