Please Save The Future Of Indian Students Studying In Ukraine
Why this petition matters

More than 20000 Indian students studying in different universities in Ukraine were forced to leave Ukraine because of war.
We completed our previous semester in online mode, and our next semester will start on 1st September 2022. Universities in Ukraine are ready to continue online mode of education but The National Medical Commission, India (NMC) has told all the students of Ukraine that from next semester all students must attend offline classes and provide NMC the certificates of clinical training, otherwise NMC will not allow us to give screening test in India.
NMC has given one-time relief to students who have completed their degree on or before 30th June 2022, they shall be permitted to appear in Foreign Medical Graduate Examination but they will have to do 2 years of Internship instead of 1 year.
With that said more than 20000 students are left with just 2 choices- Either take transfer to another country or travel to Ukraine and study offline.
Few countries are willing to accept students from Ukraine but most of them have limited seats and it is not at all possible to give admission to 20000 students.
Most of the Indian students have no choice but to return to Ukraine where Russia is firing hundreds of missiles every day.
I, therefore, request the National Medical Commission and the Government of India to allow students to do online classes until the war ends and we are ready to undergo a Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for 2 years.
