Why this petition matters

Started by adrienna harris

The public hearing for this petition with the Charlotte City Council has been rescheduled to Monday, September 19th.

SAY NO TO REZONING

Please oppose this rezoning request by signing this petition today !!

Support the effort to say no to the approval of the rezoning for a new subdivision located on the east side of Oneida Road, and west side of Citadel Place, North of Interstate - 85. (Derita neighborhood off of Graham Street/Oneida Road). It will be located adjacent to the Cardinal Glen Subdivision.

Support our community by signing this petition to prevent a new subdivision from being built in our neighborhood.

We are trying to prevent the developer from adding an additional subdivision in an already congested area on Oneida Road.

The property is currently zoned for R3 (single-family residential). The developer is requesting the zoning to be changed to R-8 (CD) (single-family residential) with five-year vest rights.

Our main concerns as to why this should not be approved are because of Safety, Congestion, Infrastructural/Roads and Traffic.

If this rezoning request is approved by the City Council, the subdivision will be completed and include about 48 condos on approximately 7.48 acres of land. On the diagram which was provided by the developer there are two ponds that will be at the front of the neighborhood on both sides.

We need everyone to come to the next rezoning meeting on July 18th at the Government Center, 600 E. 4th Street Charlotte NC 28202. This meeting is open to the public.
