Make the connection of Barren Fork to Lake Forest for Emergency Vehicle Access Only!

Residents of Lake Forest,

As many of you know, the connection of Barren Fork from the back side of Lake Forest to the 4 lane street south of Lake Forest has begun despite our efforts to stop it.  We already have traffic issues in our community and this connection will allow Lake Forest to be used as a cut-through to Martin Road for all of the Williams Elementary school traffic as well as all of the other communities that lie to our south.

This additional traffic will create more safety hazards for our residents as well as making it much more difficult to get out of Lake Forest onto Martin Road at peak traffic times.  The City Traffic Engineers as well as the City Planning Commission repeatedly told us that the main reason for the connection was for EMS access.  We are now asking that you sign this petition requesting that they make good on their reasoning and make this connection for emergency vehicle access only.  This will prevent the traffic cut through and, in turn, the safety issues.

Please sign this petition, write a letter to Dan Sanders, Director of the City Traffic Engineering Department, and call the office of the City Traffic Engineer to make this request.  It will take all of us to make this happen.  Please share this link with everyone in the Lake Forest Community you know and ask them to get involved!

The attached picture is an example in Madison of what we are requesting.  The precedent has been set.

Your Community Thanks You for Your Action!!!
