Please help add this Iranian Parliamentarian to the list of individuals sanctioned by Western
Nations.

Over the past four weeks since the death in custody of 22 year old Mahsa Amini (who was arrested for improper hijab attire by morality police in Iran) widespread protests and discontent at the suppression and human rights violations in Iran has ensued. Many others have been killed in the subsequent protests, including Nika Sarina Esmaeilzadeh, Nika Shahkarami and many more.

Media is censored in Iran and the internet has been shut down by the government. The plight of the Iranian people cannot continue to be ignored by the global community.
The individual you see in this picture is Ruhollah Motefaker-Azad, a Tabriz representative in the Iranian Parliament. He has suggested “finishing” the small number of protesters who are making it possible for the “enemy” to put pressure on the Iranian Nation through sanctions and other measures

Any recognition whether big or small will help build pressure for change. The Iranian people have suffered for more than 40 years under this murderous Islamic Regime. The time for hope, choice and freedom is now!

This petition calls on the USA, the European Union, Canada, and Australian Governments to lead by example in condemning the Islamic Republic of Iran’s human rights record by adding Ruhollah Motefaker-Azad, to the list of people under western sanctions.
