Please, we ask that you take the time to sign this petition to help keep a murderer in prison.

On the morning of November 1st, 1996, Randy Anders brutally and premeditatedly took the life of his wife, Lisa Anders. On October 31st he attempted to choke her to death in the driveway of their residence. Lisa was able to escape the attack by laying on the horn. In fear of neighbors coming out, Randy stopped and left the residence. That day Lisa attempted to file a warrant for Randy with the Boaz Police Department but was told all that the investigators were tied up in court and  that she would be contacted the following day when they had the time. That night all of the locks of the house were changed, and the house was made secure trying to ensure that Randy would not be able to come and sneak back inside. Little did Lisa know that Randy was already in the process of carrying out his plan. He had checked into a hotel down the road and walked to the house and was hiding in the garage where he would stay until the following morning when Lisa took her children to school. Upon arriving back home that morning, Lisa got the call she had been waiting on from the police department and was told that they were ready to see her. She informed them that she would change clothes and be right there. After she hung up the phone, she walked to the front of her bed to her dresser to retrieve clothes. Randy then came up behind her from the bathroom in which he had been hiding and grabbed her and shot her several times in the head. Lisa’s mom was there in the alternate bathroom getting ready as well and heard Lisa scream “Randy”. As she exited the bathroom to check on her, she met Randy, who then pointed the gun at her. She was able to get back into the bathroom and barricade herself inside. Randy then got into Lisa’s car and drove to the Boaz Police Department where he would turn himself in.

Lisa was a mother of three children: Lee, Bradley, and Megan. Not only did they lose their mother that day,  they lost both parents. We beg you to please sign this petition and help us keep Randy in prison. Lisa will never have another chance at life, and we do not feel that Randy should either for this brutal crime that destroyed our lives forever.
