To whomever has the time to read and help not only myself but many families of passed loved ones out. It has been brought to my attention and all the other families  that beginning the new year (January of 2023), we will no longer be allowed to decorate our loved ones areas of rest as we were allowed to before. What I mean with this is decorations will be very much limited   For example; if there is a grave marker, we will only be allowed to decorate on top of that. If there is a headstone, we may decorate on that as well. Now, this may seem a pretty decent deal but there areas are small and limited. My family as I know many others who chose Menifee Valley Cemetery as their loved one’s final resting place  chose this Cemetery for the MAIN reason that we found peace and beauty at this cemetery with losing a loved one. The cemetery brought peace and comfort with the tragedy we all shared in common and were/are going through. The Menifee Valley Cemetery was vibrant with all the beautiful and colorful decorations each and every family set up for their loved ones. We all can agree on and tell you personally we felt comfort and peace and strangely enough even happiness going because we could all feel the immense love and dedication each person had for the passed loved ones. Most of us there working non stop but ALWAYS having the time of day to go there not once but at least TWICE a week to pick up and also to ser every decoration up for our loved ones up so that their graves would not be empty and sad. Without realizing it is also our therapy we greatly need and will forever need to be able to find the peace with losing a loved one. You may be asking yourself how do I know this? Easy, with every visit I made visiting my mother’s grave , I unintentionally met and got to have heart on heart conversations with strangers who I could connect with and understand. Only they could relate to the pain I was going through. And with that, I can tell you they too shared the pain and heartbreak with the news we would no longer be able to decorate the way we loved to. They way we wanted to , for our loved ones who will never be forgotten. I understand many may think because someone has passed, life just goes on. And it does, but that does not mean we forget about or passed loved ones. I can tell you that all those beautiful decorations you would see at the Menifee Valley Cemetery, not one was from someone who felt they had to decorate. We all did because it came from our heart , we wanted to. It just felt right to. We love to . It makes us happy. It brings us peace and comfort… now , i know this has been long , but for anyone still reading I truly appreciate you and I know all the familes of passed loves ones appreciate you. 

Now, from what we understood the sudden change mid this year was due to , it being easier for maintenance since we were told some people were not picking up their decorations. It is unfortunate that because of the very few who were not able to or forgot to pick up their decorations we all will be greatly stripped from the right to decorate for our loved ones the way we would love to, the reason we CHOSE Menifee Valley Cemetery. I don’t think we ask for too much, so I apologize if this seems too much to ask for for some people.. So please, if this message and the pouring of my heart and thoughts can reach your heart… I GREATLY ask if you could please sign this petition. For me, for my mother, for all the passed loved ones and their families and friends. Thank you so so much.
