VANESSA PETITION

CAMEROON: PLEASE ASK CAMEROON GOVERNMENT TO RETURN VANESSA STOLEN BABY

Please join us to help Vanessa in finding her baby. SHE IS ALONE. Please help us to put pressure on Cameroon Government to return VANESSA BABY.

Her name is Vanessa, 17 years old girl from Cameroon. She gave birth to a baby girl on August 20, 2011 in a Public Hospital in Yaoundé-Cameroon. Few hours later, VANESSA BABY WAS STOLEN under the supervision of the Hospital Staff. It has been almost seven (7) months of living hell for Vanessa. The young girl since then has decided to stay at that Hospital until the Cameroonian Government returns her baby. She is still in Room # 2, Bed #12 where here Baby Girl was stolen 7 months ago. Alone, facing a great deal of adversity, and challenging the Government, Vanessa courage needs our support to find her baby.

Vanessa baby was born at 7am on August 20, 2011. Around 2.15pm, she got the news that her baby was stolen. How a new born baby can just disappear in a Public Hospital under the supervision of all the staff: nurses, doctors, security, etc? Since 7 months, nothing significant was done to find Vanessa baby girl.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP VANESSA FINDS HER BABY GIRL

Instead of receiving the help and support from the Cameroon Government, the facts are that:
- The General Manager of the Public Hospital has denied that there is a traffic of babies in his hospital and that Vanessa baby was stolen
- No one was punished among the hospital staff since the disappearance of the baby
- The Cameroon Social Affairs Ministry has done nothing to help Vanessa finds her baby
- The Cameroon Health Ministry under which is attached the Public hospital where Vanessa baby was stolen has done nothing to help her
- The Cameroon Government which has the mission to protect all its citizens, has done nothing meaningful to find Vanessa baby
- Even the different churches in Cameroon (Catholic, Protestant, Anglican, etc) remain silent.

For 7 long months, Vanessa has gone through physical, psychological, emotional, and mental pains and sufferings. Rather of receiving help, Vanessa has been humiliated, brutalized, insulted, and intimidated. How the Cameroon Government can send his Secret Service agents from DGRE? (Sort of Cameroonian CIA) asking Vanessa to leave the hospital so that the Government can investigate the case of her baby? Only Vanessa FAITH, DETERMINATION, and COURAGE help her to continue the fight, the struggle.

Currently, we are afraid of Vanessa life. The more people try to speak out about Vanessa case, her life is in danger. Her family is in danger. The Government is pushing her to leave the hospital so that this case may just go away. Vanessa comes from a poor family. Orphan of Father, her mom is poor and can’t battle the power place Cameroon. The father of her baby girl is very supportive to her and would like to get back her baby daughter. PLEASE HELP US TO HELP VANESSA FINDS HER BABY GIRL.

Vanessa is just the face of the deep dark ocean of Human Rights violations in Cameroon. The daily sufferings of the “99%” in Cameroon have become the common daily facts where the Government pays zero attention. Life goes on, even when the Government is accused of dramatic human rights violations. Vanessa is denied the right to be a MOTHER. Vanessa’s baby is just one of the hundreds, thousands of babies who have disappeared before silently.

Please join us to help Vanessa in finding her baby. SHE IS ALONE. Please help us to put pressure on Cameroon Government to return VANESSA BABY.
