The Pleasant Hill Recreation and Parks District is embarking on a multi-year endeavor to remake, upgrade, and improve District facilities, parks and programs.  Some of their identified highest priorities includes the creation and construction of a Multipurpose Facility and Recreational Gym.  The Winslow Center is an outdated building that currently sits on 3.1 acres.  To satisfy the needs of Pleasant Hill, the site could be reimagined into a State of the Art Recreation and Parks campus that could support a Multipurpose Facility and Recreational Gym which could house neighborhood programs, theatrical productions, arts programs, fitness facilities, indoor play courts, intergenerational facilities and a children's playground. 

Because of its strategic location at Taylor Blvd and Pleasant Hill Rd, it is easily accessible by residents all over Pleasant Hill and can be a regional gem.  The surrounding 4 lane roads are designed for any anticipated traffic and the site is buffered by surrounding commerical and non-residential property which creates separation from neighborhoods and campus activities.  Join the effort to tell The Pleasant Hill Recreation and Parks District Board of Directors that you support creating an iconic and uplifting Multipurpose Facility and Indoor Recreational Gym for the benefit of all Pleasant Hill residents.  Add your own ideas in the comments section when you sign the petition.
