Reduce South African PlayStation Store Game Prices

This petition had 122 supporters

For months now local PlayStation Store prices have been ridiculously higher than the retail equivalent and even than the Xbox Store equivalent. Games have gone up by R170 digitally on PS4, where it can be up to R1400, and R130 on Vita.

Battlefield 1 is R799 on the Xbox One Store

but on the PlayStation Store it's R1149

Games also get an immediate price increase after the pre-order period, Dishonored 2 was R899 on pre-order but after its midnight release the price shot up to R1069.

Bandai Namco games have also shot up in price, God Eater 2 Rage Burst was R1069 a couple months ago and now it's R1339.

My attempts to contact both PlayStation South Africa and Ster-Kinekor (They handle PS in South Africa) are now being ignored and they won't provide any reason for the price increase.

I'm seeking to either get an official word from Ster-Kinekor or PlayStation South Africa as to why there is such a huge price difference and to hopefully get the prices reduced.
