Trading plastic utensils for bamboo utensils in schools would be one small step forward toward a better tomorrow for generations to come and for us right now. This change would impact me because I would have known that I did a good thing for the world. The change would impact my family and my community because it would make a lot of schools much cleaner, and they would have to be happy about that. Eventually, it would make the oceans much cleaner as well. But they won't be 100% clean until we all cooperate. I care about plastic pollution because it effects global climate change. The ice caps are melting, and driving beautiful animals-like polar bears-out of their homes. It is also making the beaches and oceans that we love so much filthy. In some places in the world, you can't even see the water under all that trash. I personally am worried about the health and well-being of our beloved earth home and the animals that live there. All this trash is also hurting and killing animals all over the world. They will eat this junk thinking it's food, and eventually die from it. Why are these amazing animals being the victims of a crime that humans are responsible for committing? Why are they being injured and dying from our mistakes?
