We are made up of students of Mrs. Metzler's Period 4 class in Newtown Middle School. Every year, our group participates in the Philadelphia Zoo UNLESS Project to change our school's ways to better suit the environment. This year, we represent the change for recycling laws, plastic bans, and overall better waste management for our area. We hope to spark a fire that will reach other people, towns, and eventually legislators, who can mandate this change. We aren't urging people to change their lifestyle--rather, we are urging them to change the lifestyle of others around the world who deal with our scraps and plastic waste. In the end, our group is about presenting different ways to deal with plastic that is better for the environment and that could save our plastic crisis.
