I am a resident of General Trias, Cavite, Philippines, and a nature lover. Nature has always been our source of life's necessities. However, it is disheartening to see how some human behaviors are causing harm to our planet. The increasing temperatures we experience can be mitigated if we plant more trees.

Trees play a crucial role in preserving our environment by absorbing carbon dioxide and other harmful gases while releasing oxygen. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), an average tree can absorb up to 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year. Imagine the significant impact we could make if each one of us planted even just one tree.

Our actions today will determine the kind of world future generations will inherit from us. It is our responsibility as current stewards of this planet to ensure that they will have a healthy environment where they can thrive.
