An application has been lodged with London Borough of Merton's planning department to build a development of houses on the site of one of south Wimbledon's oldest buildings. If granted, it would mean the demolition of Rose Cottage, the oldest house on land previously owned by Vice Admiral Lord Nelson, an estate one of Britain's best-known war heroes and his lover Emma Hamilton described as 'Paradise Merton'. We need your help to get this application stopped by persuading Merton council to turn it down. Please sign to show how important you feel it is to preserve our heritage for future generations.
