Call for sustainable development to protect the natural habitat of Ard Na Glaise area (just off Stillorgan)

Mindful of the housing crises and the need for more family homes, we are campaigning for urban developments that have the community in mind and meet environmental sustainability.

Ard Na Glaise is a 2 acres land nested among a number of estates, just off Stillorgan. It is home of many species of plants and animals, some protected like the peregrine falcon and bats. The planned development of several apartment blocks has been drafted to maximise space with no consideration of the existing biodiversity or the impact on neighbouring communities.

This could be the opportunity to build a green space that will serve families, young and old people and preserve a historic area. Two other developments with high-rise density buildings are being constructed in Stillorgan/N11 so the local community feels the demand for apartments is being met.
