We are against the Landscape Variance Request ZC-0074 that would authorize the removal of over 1556 trees in the new development area called South Haven, which is located in Irving south of Beltline road between MacArthur Blvd and east of South North Lake Road.
We are very concerned about this proposal that will likely negatively impact the wetlands including but not limited to issues of water runoff, erosion, destruction of aquatic life and wildlife habitat, and displacement of aquatic life and wildlife. The removal of 1,556 trees out of a total of 2,487 is not an insignificant development in this project that needs to be addressed by the USACE.
Many residents have requested for full feedback on above points along with other concerns in multiple occasions and are requesting to Planning Department at the City of Irving to allow time to receive those full feedback and details from USACE as well from your office.
This variance is to be considered by the City of Irving Planning and Zoning Commission on February 5, 2018 and we hereby sign this petition individually & jointly on behalf of my family and residence in City of Irving/City of Coppell being a nearby concerned owners & residents.
