Stop installation of Wash Plant at South Shields Quarry
Stop installation of Wash Plant at South Shields Quarry
We object to the proposal of an installation of a wash plant based at Marsden Quarry on the Coast Road due to the following facts. That being the noise pollution, dust pollution which we already experience without the wash plant so this would be greatly increased by the wash plant. The adverse effect to the enviroment and wildlife which is very adherent to this location being a Green Belt area and National trust area. To be blighted by such a monstrosity that is hard to believe that it has been proposed not once but twice is unbelievable. Also the effect it would have on tourism connected to nearby Souter Lighthouse and our historical Lime Mills. It would also have an effect on North Lizard Riding School, Livestock in surrounding farm life and Whitburn Golf Club,, not to mention the effect on nearby residential areas. The Coast Road is already under re construction because of erosion and therefore would suffer greatly with additonal heavy loaded vehicles delivering to this Quarry. I feel this would greatly effect the peace and tranquility we have aquired by living in this area as we moved here from a densely populated area to reep the benefits of living in this location. Therefore I hope the Council will come to their sences and stop this very distructive proposal.
