We call for the elected members of the Littleton Planning Board to exercise their responsibility and authority to deny the development by R.D. Kanniard Homes, Inc. of 30+ homes on 8 acres on the corner of Spectacle Pond Road and Cricket Lane based on non-compliance with Zoning Bylaws for Senior Residential Development, Article XXIII, 173-150 Development Standards B, and 173-152. The proposed development is not consistent or compatible with neighboring area density or design and will have an adverse effect on the Town, neighborhood, Spectacle Pond aquifer, and the traffic flow and safety on a narrow and poorly-maintained residential road. RD Kanniard has requested (11) waivers to the Littleton Subdivision of Land Regulations, including request for waiver to traffic management plans, ie a traffic study on impact of 30+ residences on Spectacle Pond Road. Waiver requests demonstrate additional non-compliance and should be denied.
