Teen pregnancy is not a current problem, it has been going on for so many years that in 2021 it has been “ normalized “. It is viewed as ignorance from society and parenting. This problem needs more attention, the longer we ignore it the longer it will take to make a change. The crazy health risks that this brings into a young women’s body is danger for the mother as well as the baby. And these are health risks that stay with the mother for the rest of her life. Young females shouldn’t be couraged to get pregnant at such a young age because she might not be able to deliver the baby or have more kids because of how young and undeveloped her body is. Not only does teen pregnancy effect a teenagers health but her future. What future and lifestyle will the teenage mother provide to her baby if she couldn’t even finish high school. Not every pregnant teen decide to continue school because they can’t focus on school and parenting at the same time. This is why is should stop here and have more open talks about contraceptives. Many teen feel embarrassed to talk or go on birth control and later on they get pregnant.
