Revisit school policy on mask mandate for all students
Why this petition matters

Working towards having the school mask mandate removed for the safety of children wearing masks all day, complications that may arise physically and emotionally. Lifting the mandate to allow families and school staff to choose if they want to wear a mask or not, with out fear. It causes the younger students unable to connect and bond with peers and teachers. Students with special needs, the masks can prohibit learning and prevent progress in behavior causing more of a regression than they’ve had since the lockdown. Liability of School from students contracting staph infections, impetigo, breathing complications, anxiety, and other stresses. Younger students enjoying school and not having worries/fear of masks and being able to see their teachers smile. Parents, students, teachers, staff, concerned of speaking out about their concerns with mask mandate, fear of repercussions for their child in sports, teachers and staffs’ concern for employment, parents concerned for repercussions of how child may be treated for not wearing a mask.
we are a strong community, that bands together in time of need. We are a small community, that thrives on connection, trust, and stability. We’ve played ball this summer, swam in the pool together, had play dates and sleep overs. We celebrated 4th of July in friends’ back yards, camped at the lake with friends and family. No masks.
Our children are screened at the bus stop, only to get on the bus even if they have a fever, to ride all the way to school to be sent home. Kids get out of school and masks come off, they are playing together after school, riding bikes, hanging out. No masks. Sports are practiced without masks, team pictures taken, no masks. Let the families and staff decide what’s best for our own families, when did funding and money trump our kids and their best interest? We all have common sense and have been using it the last 5 months. We want our kids in school, healthy, and happy. We want them encouraged and supported, and to make a choice on their own.
