Who serves out some good ol fashioned hospitality while serving up a great batch of fish and chips, shepherds pie and other English and American favorites. A place called Roylies, where the British owners were drawn to Plain City, fell in love with the little town and decided to utilize one of it's vacant downtown buildings to open up what is now a gathering place for many of all ages. Whether you're there to partake of a delicious meal, ice cream, fresh pastries or even just a refreshing drink, Roylies has been very welcoming and have been welcomed in return, but are now being forced out of the community where they've made a big difference and have become a regular part of as they've graciously and voluntarily hosted many gatherings, being more than just a place to eat. They've contributed largely to our society by helping many American's in this tiny corner of the USA to be able to come together as families, friends and neighbors in the tight knit community, opening their doors at times when there seemed to be no other place to gather. Local teenagers also enjoy Roylies as a well meaning place to get together and socialize. The citizens of Plain City were very thrilled to have a place like Roylies open up in the community. While Roylies currently employs only one American citizen as they don't have a very large staff, they've actually been beneficial in attracting other businesses which employ Americans and sell locally made goods and services. Forcing Roylies out of Plain City could be disadvantageous to those businesses around, to the good citizens of Plain City as well as nearby communities and many would be saddened at the loss of having such a great asset and business. Please allow Roylies to stay.
