Our neighborhood of almost 200 homes is asking for more stop signs in our community. Our hope for these is it will lower the speed through what many neighbors call the drag strip which is a straight away road. Our current speed limit is 25 miles per hour. We have 7 streets, and on some of those streets only a stop sign one way. We would like to see stop signs at all crossings. Many neighbors have witnessed speeds upwards to 50 mph being ran and we all have small children playing near these busy roads where only one stop sign for one way is in place. We ask that stop signs be used at each stopping point in all directions. We did have an assessment done almost two years ago when our neighborhood was still being built and was told there was not enough traffic to warrant additional stop signs. We are now a sold out community with atleast 400-600 personal vehicles incoming and outgoing each day. Not including school buses, delivery drivers, and guests. Please make our children and communities safety a top priority by adding additional stop signs.
