From the early 2000's to 2011, Malcom X and the factual truth about Christopher Columbus was not taught in E.V. Cain Middle School and Placer High School. Many people may not find out until later in life

In depth eduction about Malcom X alongside with Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr.; being taught together can showcase the changes during the Civil Rights Movement. 

Christopher Columbus, while bringing the New World together with the Old World, did bring exploitation to the native people in the area.

The goal is to shape the curriculum with factual evidence and to include the facts about these people.
