The Problem: In order to promote safe, equitable, and comfortable streets for all users, we urge you to support the development and adoption of an immediate resurfacing project in our local neighborhood. Street resurfacings are designed to support all road users including bicyclists, pedestrians, transit riders and motorists regardless of age, race, income, and ability. They will make it easier for seniors to get to doctor’s appointments and kids to get to school. They will make it easier to cross the street, walk to shops and bicycle to work. By immediately repairing and resurfacing the local streets you are creating safer community, more transportation options and designing streets with everyone in mind.
The Action: Approving and Immediate resurfacing and paving plan can help ensure that everyone is considered in future transportation plans and projects. Please support creating livable, healthy streets in Piscataway for everyone and commit to developing and adopting a Complete Streets Policy.

The undersigned Piscataway residents urge the township to move forward with long-overdue improvements to Jennie Place, Meister, Quincy, Albert, and Florence Streets in order to create a safer, more attractive corridor, while taking steps to protect neighbors of new developments and limit potential traffic diversions or tie ups. Our community will benefit environmentally, economically, and socially while continuing to develop and procure the already approved long-term township plan.
