American cinema only produced one film worth talking about this year, and that film is Michael Sarnoski’s masterpiece: Pig.

Starring Nicolas Cage and Alex Wolff, this film invites the viewer into the terrifying underbelly of Pacific Northwest truffle hunting. The food in the film is so enticing, Tom Colicchio himself may as well have directed it. While giving molecular gastronomy the slap in the face it deserves, this film delivers the most beautiful tale of searching for one’s pig whilst searching for one’s self.
