Too many single-use plastics are being used on campus when it could be replaced with biodegradable or reusable options. Single-use plastics is one of the major pollutants of our world, ending up in our oceans and landfills.

This problem can be solved by replacing single-use plastics with biodegradable and/or reusable options at cafe's and food stores on campus. Students, staff and the cafe's need to be informed on the issue and the cafe's need to be on board with the cause as they have the power to order and stock those options at their stores.

I started this petition, because…
I am a third and final year student at Western Sydney University studying Humanitarian and Development Studies. I am starting this petition because I am passionate about the cause and truly believe that if we all switch to biodegradable options and adopt reusable options into our lifestyle we can help lessen the pollution on our planet. One small change made my many people can make a big difference for our planet.
