The Plumas Unified School District hired Jamar Tate as a Geography Teacher, 8th Grade Science Teacher, Fire Science Instructor, and Weight lifting Coach. Before Mr. Tate was hired at Portola Junior Senior High School he notified the school district that he only had Geography Teaching Credentials. The School said it was going to be fine and okay if he taught 8th Grade Science. But now the school district is firing Mr. Tate for something they did wrong. Many students don't want Mr. Tate to leave because of his large presence in the learning experience here at PJSHS.
