We, the undersigned oppose any plan to house any person on the Denver Federal Center property bounded by 6th Avenue on the north and Alameda on the south, Union Boulevard on the West and Kipling on the East in Lakewood, Colorado.

The reasons we are opposed are many and include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.     Toxins such as uranium, lead, chromium, asbestos, and arsenic exist on the property.

2.     Adverse effects to local businesses.

3.     Stressing the resources of our police and fire departments and our hospital.

4.     Extreme risk of cancer and birth defects to anyone who would live there, especially children.

Security for our Federal Center employees would be severely compromised.
