The residents of Phillipsburg, NJ are demanding that United States Land Resources and property owner, Lawrence S. Berger seek a grocer to replace the original Ahart's Market property on Memorial Parkway in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. As the owner of this property, it is your responsibility to find an interested party. A grocery store in this area is vital to the community as there are many residents who do not have access or the ability to shop elsewhere. The residents of Phillipsburg want a grocery store and no other business as it's replacement.
Information from a recent press release from the Mayor of Phillipsburg states, "According to data from the United States Department of Agriculture, 23% of households in parts of Phillipsburg are without a car, and live more than one half mile from a full-service supermarket. This leaves residents who are elderly, disabled, and low-income without easy access to a range of nutrient-rich foods. Without an accessible supermarket, there is an increased risk of dependency on convenience stores and processed foods to meet nutritional needs, which can negatively affect the health and well-being of children and adults."
Do what is right for the residents of Phillipsburg by seeking a grocer and no other business for this area.
