Corruption is the use of powers by government officials for illegitimate private gain. An illegal act by an officeholder constitutes political corruption only if the act is directly related to their official duties, is done under color of law or involves trading in influence. This is one of the common problem that our country, which is the Philippines, is facing right now.
As a citizen, it is important for us to know "where are the funds allocated" and "how is it being used by our government". Why? It is because through this, we can prevent graft and corruption and the government officials will be responsible enough, in where to locate the funds. It is also important for us to be active and be concern with this issue because the government's fund in the first place came form all the taxes that we are paying to them and it is their responsibility to allocate and give the funds to the people who really in need. Having a transparency can also lessen the chances of government officials to get the money of the people, but the question is "how can we do this?". We can do this by having a committee that is responsible in letting the people know the precise funds that will be used in a certain project. Having a monthly report from the government officials is also another way to have transparency and through this report the people will have knowledge about all the allocated funds. Furthermore, there are a lot of ways to let the people know, but at the end it always depend on the government on how they perceive it.
Now, let's all unite for us to achieve an industrialized Philippines, because in order for the Philippines to be industrialized we must first do our most important role in the society which is being a citizen and let's all stop being a centrist and start fighting for the things that we must have.
"LET'S STOP MAKING OTHER PEOPLE FROM OUR WRONG DOINGS...stop all the MAGICS"
