How many of us have had family member, friends, or even ourselves suffer from cancer because they can’t stop smoking. No matter how hard they try there is always that craving and even after you stop smoking there is still a risk that you may develop cancer at a later stage in life do to the previous smoking. I myself have lost a grandfather to breast and lung cancer and had another friend recently diagnosed with cancer. As we all know the treatments for cancer are very hard on the body and it is a long recovery process and it is also very expensive. The Tabacco companies in America should have to reciprocate in some way for the product that they put out considering they know that it is highly addictive and that it is also very harmful. My solution to this problem is that the American tobacco companies put a percentage of their income that they receive from the products that they sell toward cancer research facilities. With this contribution it will help the research facilities find less harmful and more effective ways to treat cancer. It will also help make the cancer treatments more affordable for everyone.
