Petition to have the option to un-enroll our children from the Philipsburg-Osceola School District and enroll them in a private charter cyber school of our choosing (not Mountie Academy)

TO: Philipsburg-Osceola School Board and Superintendent, State Of Pennsylvania, Clearfield and Centre Counties.

A.     STATEMENT:

We, the undersigned, are qualified voters of Philipsburg-Osceola School District in Centre and Clearfield Counties, Pennsylvania. We are also parents of children enrolled in the district.  If the mask mandate is not made optional by the school district it is our intent to pull our children out of the public school system and enroll them in a private charter cyber school of our choosing. 

It is our understanding that the Philipsburg-Osceola School District could lose approximately $11,155 for a child enrolled in elementary and $17,560 for a child enrolled in the middle school / high school level.  We understand that this would be a financial burden on our district.  However, we feel that in the best interest of our children’s physical and mental health, this is the best option for them at this time.
