The salary increase of teachers is now being deliberated in both houses of Congress. We teachers believe that an across-the-board increase is better than a new schedule/version of the SSL.

We appeal to our President, Senators and Congressmen that they support Senate Bill Number 466 By Sen. Ralph Recto which stipulates an across-the-board increase of PhP 10,000.00 in the basic monthly salary of public school teachers which will raise the amount to PhP 30,754.00.

We believe that this is a more justified and viable action to take and will do a lot to improve the economic well being of us public school teachers.
