Let us put a stop once and for all on this highway robbery!

The increase to 3% on the overseas Filipinos’ contribution to PhilHealth is unjust and unacceptable, most especially in these times when everything is uncertain because of the COVID19 Pandemic. This move by the Philippine Government puts a shackle on the Filipinos abroad including those with resident visas and those with dual citizenship as this increase does not benefit them at all. We have our own health system and family insurances which we are already paying for and this increase imposed by the Philippine Government upon its so-called modern heroes is nothing but an additional burden. This will affect our remittances to our families back in country, but more so, it will affect us in whichever country we are in.

The PhilHealth Memorandum imposing such increase plus certain penalties clearly manifests the government’s treatment of the Filipinos abroad - that we are nothing but milking cows. This should STOP NOW. We call upon the repulsion of the said memorandum.
