Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” PhilHealth or Philippine Health Insurance Corporation collects premiums, accredits providers, sets the benefits packages and provider payment mechanisms, processes claims, and reimburses providers for their services. PhilHealth is responsible for oversight and administration of public sector insurance schemes. PhilHealth implements the National Health Insurance Program that aims to provide Filipinos with financial assistance and access to affordable health services. It covers hospital costs, subsidy for room and boarding, medicine, and professional services. Petition related to health concern, the philhealth coverage for all member's medical assistance in the Philippines must covered all kinds of sickness for discount or deduction of bill payment from any hospital private and public. The reason why I made this petition is base from my experience. When I was hospitalized and after we got the bill out the counter told my mother that my sickness is not in the list of credited and allowed to be covered with Philhealth assistance for us to have a lesser bill because a part of it will be shouldered by philhealth.
