The ABS-CBN Network has always been part of the Philippine History and culture.

Besides quality entertainment, it brought many programs enriching Filipino values and Cultural awareness. Moreover, as the biggest telecommunications network, it has the widest reach to all Filipinos across the Philippines and overseas about what is happening in a lot of aspects including politics.

On May 5th, 2020 - NTC or the National Telecommunications Commission has issued a CEASE AND DESIST ORDER due to the expiry of the network’s franchise. Whereas:

- The application for renewal of the Network had been pending for several years already. 
- The sense of Senate and Congress already signified there is no good reason to deny renewal

- House Speaker APC already signified its favorable opinion that the Network can continue while they are proceeding with the hearing for its franchise. 

Shutdown of the Network would mean an addition 11,000 employees becoming jobless. Press freedom is also impacted as the widest reaching company puts to a closure.

We move that the Congress and Senate overrule that of the Solicitor General and NTC as the CDO is a total lack of respect to the Filipino People depending on the information that ABS-CBN can provide - specially at a time of Health crisis where information dissemination is badly needed.
