Anti-Catcalling Ordinance in the Philippines

Cat-calling has been in everyday scenarios. It may sound like a joke but for the victim it affects her vision of herself. It isn’t just annoying, it damages the person within.
A person’s clothing style will never justify the rude and disrespectful behavior of men to harass and embarrass women. Many of us, especially women experience this kind of harassment that is why I wanted to stand and make a change. I made this petition to Philippine Commission on Women to create or enact a law that aims to protect young girls and women against sexual harassment, especially in public places.
The goal here is to make women feel at ease, safe, secure and comfortable within the streets or public areas without the fear of getting catcalled and even being physically harassed by these undisciplined men.
