Many citizens have encountered police brutality in the country of the Philippines, and as of this pandemic, the toll of police killings has risen up to 50 percent according to the report of Carlos H. Conde. This is due to the worsened "war on drugs" of the administration of the President, nonetheless, the denial of allegations and lack of constructive response still continues. However, the main victims of this abuse of power do not end with people who violated the law, because even the innocent citizens of the country have been the primary victims of police brutality.

As of today, accusations against police brutality in social media are growing in numbers. Many citizens are being violated and abused for doing not only non-illegal things but also simple problems that can be prevented using common sense. However, instead of protecting and preventing the citizens from various dangers, or talk about the problems that can be cured immediately, the officials choose to use force, or to use their position to belittle someone, and frequently, they just end a person's life as nothing happens. A great example of this is the viral case of the mother and son named Sonya at Frank Gregorio who was shot multiple times in front of the camera and their family by armed police named Jonel Nuezca just because Frank was using firecrackers which the police's family doesn't like.

The point of this petition is to stop police brutality. Instead of the killings, misuse of authority, and false accusations on innocent citizens, protect and prevent us people of the Philippines from various problems and dangers which need more attention than simple quarrels. We highly request the help of different Human Rights organizations to speak for the citizens in order for the officials to hear our voices. Lastly, we also want the attention of all police officers in the country and the government as well, #StopTheKillingsPH.
