Philando Castile Mural Project

Philando Castile Mural Project
Why this petition matters

Four years ago, Philando Castile’s life was stolen from him when a St. Anthony Police Officer murdered him in Falcon Heights. We want to continue to honor Philando Castile’s legacy and hope to do so through a mural we are planning in remembrance and honor of him. Our goal is to paint this mural on the south wall of City Hall (facing the tennis courts) and complete it by the four year anniversary of his death, July 6. This will be a part of a much larger community event held on July 6 to honor Philando Castille (details coming soon). We would appreciate your support, which you can give by signing this petition to demonstrate your wish for this mural to be a part of the community. Please help us honor and continue Philando’s legacy.
To further support our mural, we are accepting donations of supplies which can be arranged dropped off at when calling [651-447-9010] and monetary donations which can be made through venmo [@PCmural]. You can also email city council members to voice your support and urge them to permit the mural.
**Regardless of City Council approval, the mural will be happening as we have an alternative plan, for which donations are even more crucial.
