Save a Piece of Philly's History

Tell the Philadelphia Historical Commission to protect this historic row in Northern Liberties!
The 8 facades at 81-95 Fairmount Ave. comprise the only intact Federal-style row between Front Street and the Delaware River. Historical protection for this row is threatened because the Philadelphia Historical Commission deadlocked on it, 4-4, in September.
The Commission is taking it up again Friday, October 14, 9AM, 1515 Arch St, 18th Floor. Tell the Commission to do the right thing and protect the last row of Federal-style houses on the waterfront.
The buildings sit on a much larger set of parcels whose owner initially planned to put in an auto dealership in violation of the Central Delaware Zoning Overlay. The owner's attorney is trying to bully the Commission into not even taking a vote on the 14th.
Sign this petition to tell the Commission to stand up and do its job.
And if you can, come to the hearing and show the Commission that the eyes of Northern Liberties, the river wards, and all those concerned about our shared history are on them.
