Repair/Replace the bridge crossing the Pecos River on Farm to Market Road 11 at the Pecos and Crane County Line

This bridge joins Pecos County's city of Imperial to Ward County's Grandfalls. Due to the conditions surrounding the Pecos River that the bridge crosses, the concrete on the underside has weakened and fallen to the ground below leaving only rebar and asphalt. A female crossing the bridge in a pickup truck had her tire fall through and it caused her vehicle to go from the Westbound lane to the Eastbound lane. Fortunately no oncoming traffic was present at the time. It is a link that provides a source of grocery, fuel for vehicles and needs for small town Imperial after the town's only grocery/service station closes within approximately eleven miles. It also links Interstate 10 and Interstate 20 to travellers making the journey to New Mexico and places West as well as travellers coming from the West to the East connecting the same Interstates. This also affects local commerce by lengthening commercial vehicle traffic to and from the several local quarries and pits. It also creates an economic hardship on the Corporate and individual citizens in the area by increasing fuel costs, wear and tear on vehicles by doubling the length of the commute not to mention the inconvenience to the local populous and to both the intrastate and interstate traveller. Please help alleviate these issues by replacing/repairing the bridge so the lives of the local citizenry and the travelling public may regain its normalcy. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and the rapid completion and return of our bridge.
