Leave Runcorn buses on the routes they have now
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
The Arriva Runcorn bus depot, has decided to axe our local bus services and are using the Mersey Gateway bridge opening as their reason. Removal of the 82A from Runcorn to terminate in Widnes. Local people use this service to attend Halton General Hospital.
They are axing the 79c and 79 whereby these buses will no longer service Palacefields, Brookvale or Murdishaw. They have them terminating at Halton Lea. Local people use these buses to get to and from work from these areas.
They are also removing the X1 from servicing Runcorn High Street bus station whereby local working people have extended journeys to Halton Lea in the hope of getting to work on time.
These changes will also impact on local schoolchildren travelling to school, who would normally get one bus, they will have to get two buses.
These changes can not be allowed to continue. We, the people of Halton would like our local bus services mentioned to stay on the routes we are use too.
You can not take local peoples money for day, weekly and monthly tickets and not provide the services for them to use them tickets. In law the company would not be fulfilling their contract to these paying customers.
