Please help in permanently waiving the Ed TPA in New Jersey. This exam is costly, invokes high levels of stress and anxiety, and is not supported by NJEA.
High stakes assessment and lesson plans are not indicative of the type of performance requirement standards NJ teachers will ever be held to on the job. This is a quick way to make a buck! Only around 70% of applicants pass the Ed TPA on their first attempt, draining more resources (time and money) from the applicant.
We NEED great teachers to start teaching ASAP - why are we allowing road blocks like Ed TPA to stand in the way?
