Did you know that plastic doesn't decompose? That means that plastic bags could be sitting in landfills for over hundreds of years. Even worse, they can end up in the earths bodies of water and harm marine life. Around 100,000 marine animals die every year from plastic pollution. Not only can plastic bags harm marine life, it can harm human life as well. From eating plastic contaminated food to drinking micro-plastics in our water bottles, there are many ways that plastic can harm us internally. And about 100 billion plastic bags are used each year. Soon enough landfills will be overflowing with plastic, and our oceans and beaches will be polluted.

This year in our Unless Group, we are focusing on making more policies to vow to use more biodegradable items from cutlery to packaging. We can't do it without your help! By signing this petition along with the other two on our classes web page, you are agreeing to stand with us in this fight to not only save our environment, but our future. We thank you for signing this petition!
