Sober Sanctuary for Women in Monmouth County, NJ

With the Opioid Epidemic Spreading in NJ. Monmouth County is one of the top listed in the state as having the opioid crisis and also overdoses. The county jail is overflowed with women addicts incarcerated and being treated as criminals and not as having a disease on a waiting list to either see a judge , drug court, or a program not in our county. Women statistics have fluctuated drastically in the past few years in Monmouth County with the opioid addiction and overdoses with children present. When it comes to a "safe haven" in Monmouth County women have a limited to NONE option. Considering all of the baggage that women carry New Jersey has a small sanctuary for women and possibly children to go to. MONMOUTH COUNTY HAS NONE! Men have more options, sober-living, shelters, detox's, treatment facilities. I have seen with my own eyes abandon homes, buildings in Monmouth County that could be state funded and restored to be become sanctuaries for women to get off the streets and go to for help, a hug, or just to tell them were here when your ready and when you get ready be prepared to do some serious life changing work. This comforting but stern process should be given as a test to see if this process would work. Please sign this petition that will go to the NCADD to the state building in Trenton and all freeholders to open sober sanctuaries for women and children in Monmouth County.
