The Port Authority of NY/NJ has now removed carpool discount from most bridges and tunnels only Lincoln Tunnel and GWB remain.

Thousands of commuters take advantage of this benefit everyday and the removal will be detrimental for all parties. For many, the discount is the only way for them to get to their jobs.

New Jersey residents will have to pay thousands of dollars a year in new tolls and the addition of new cars will of course increase air pollution.

Gov. Phil Murphy has said he is on the side of commuters and would talk to the Port Authority about keeping the discount, but he has yet to do so.
