Although the new link road between Leyland Road and London Way takes a substantial amount of traffic from Lostock Hall and Brownedge Road, there is now serious concern about speeding vehicles along this stretch of road. With only one crossing at the Walton Park side (considerably out of the way for many of the residents) it is becoming an increasing concern for residents and the safety of our children and elderly on the estate. Cars are not following the 30mph speed limit and heavy vehicles are also using this link road.

I have been told that there is data being collected and as there have been no accidents,  the road is NOT a cause for concern! Let us be proactive here and not reactive.
