More Mental Health Resources in Schools

This petition is for mental health issues related to gun violence in schools in the United States. It is started by Girl Scout Troop #6892 in Prince George's County, MD as our Silver Award project.
Did you know that
· 50% of students age 14 and older with a mental illness drop out of high school.
· 20% of youth ages 13-18 live with a mental health condition and
· 8% of youth have an anxiety disorder
It is important that kids have access to resources in school. We want health classes to include more information on behavioral health and mental health. We want every school to have a full-time nurse and we want annual assemblies to focus on behavioral health. This could include a showing of the movie ANGST. It is critical that kids get the help they need to stop these tragedies.
Please sign below the petition which will be shared with the Prince George’s County School Board and our Maryland Delegation.
