Justine Maas started this petition to Pfizer and

While taking an over the counter medication, one dropped to the floor. Within a few seconds my dog swallowed it. Thinking “it’s just Naproxen” we dismissed it. It was almost a fatal mistake.
Most dog owners know that chocolate, onions etc can kill your fur baby. Why is it not common knowledge that NSAID medications will do the same? These medications cause ulcers and can shut down their kidneys and liver. They stay in a dogs system for many days. Our dog was fine on day one, we read the label of the bottle and there is NO WARNING.
What we have learned from research and very costly vet trips is that if swallowed by your dog, you must induce vomiting immediately. This information can save a dogs life. Our dog is 50lbs. If she were smaller she would have had no chance. To make things worse, liquid anti inflammatory/pain meds come cherry coated. Our dogs often chew through the bottle to get to them.
It would only take a minuscule effort to add this warning to a label where most of these medications are on hand in every household. Please sign this petition urging the makers of Advil, Tylenol, Naproxen etc to add a life saving sentence to their product.
“Deadly to animals-induce vomiting and contact your veterinarian immediately”
