West Shore wants to add regulations that prevent experienced out of school dancers from participating in helping teach the Boys PowderPuff dance. They claim it is because it is “unfair” since the seniors worked so hard to make it on varsity to participate. If this logic was true then why wouldn't they make a rule that if u don’t participate in any school sports you can not play in the PowderPuff Girls Football game. Because it’s not the true reasoning but rather an excuse. Powderpuff and all school activities should be open to everyone. This is supposed to be a fun event encouraging seniors to participate. NOT an exclusive event that only the Cheer Coach to decide who is deemed “worthy enough” to help. It’s become a way for the cheer leaders to exclude others from participating in something that is supposed to be fun!! Please sign and help people like Petra Kohler and Erin McDonough to participate. Both of us have multiple years of dance experience and have been bouncing off ideas with the Senior Boys who are already participating. Not only that, but we were allowed to participate two weeks ago, with the permission of Mr. Fleming, the principle. Let the actual participants and the students of West Shore decide. GO SENIORS!!
